Equality, Diversity and Human Rights for Managers

This 1-day course can be delivered in-house for your organisation or developed into a package for you to deliver yourselves. The course can be tailored to meet specific needs but could include:

  • Identifying the benefits of working for an organisation that values diversity
  • Improved understanding of the link between managing diversity and being an effective manager
  • Understanding how to foster a positive working environment including fostering good relations between different groups
  • An overview of the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act and an awareness of the legal and policy responsibilities for staff and clients/ service users with respect to equality areas
  • Improved skills and confidence in dealing with situations to ensure the advancement of equality and the elimination of discrimination, victimisation and harassment
  • Identifying the organisational structures and practices that are necessary to ensure both legal compliance and best practice
