Working with International Students

Do you work in a university or college which is increasing its intake of international students?
Does your university or college want to ensure a welcoming and positive environment for all?

OSDC have developed a 4 hour course for staff who deal directly with international students. The course enables Administrators, Support Staff and Lecturers to recognise the diverse needs of students from different cultural backgrounds.

The learning outcomes of the course are that staff will be aware of:
• The way that differences in cultural norms and values can lead to different attitudes, behaviour and communication styles.
• The different expectations that people may have of formal and informal relationships including the different ways in which power and authority are viewed.
• The religious requirements of the main groups of international students

OSDC can deliver this course within your organisation or you can buy the course as a trainers pack, allowing you to deliver the course internally as often as you like.
The trainers pack is available electronically for £600+VAT or £1500+ VAT (plus agreed expenses)if you buy the pack along with a one day training for trainers course (for up to 12 participants). The one day train the trainers course will provide the trainers with the confidence they need to successfully deliver the course and help them to fully understand the course materials and issues covered.
